Well we were on a mission looking for sushi and had three other places in mind. two out of the three were not open till 4pm and it was 130pm. and the other was on the other side of town, so as we were driving clueless we saw this place, slammed on the breaks and pulled into the parking lot. be careful pulling in off the street, there is a huge pot hole that we didn't see and hit hard. Inside was darkened and smelled amazing. There were pictures of the female sushi chef (which I think is also the owner) with many celebrities from Celine Dion to shaggy. We were seating and handed a menu that consisted of Thai, sushi and other stuff. It couldn't be better we could eat Thai and sushi all in the same spot! i ordered two special rolls that were 10 pieces each and 2 inches thick. I can't remember the names but one had tuna, crab, avocado, and some kind of sweet mango sauce. The other was soft shell crab and spicy tuna with a teriaki sauce. I was in heaven. My roommate order the basil chicken that could have feed the whole restaurant. (good for two starving people at least) She ate what she could and took the rest to go. We will be coming back to this place again, and next time on purpose.

Sushi is watery, bland and the tuna tasted bad. The Thai was a only little better. They forgot to put the pineapple in the "pineapple red curry". Specialty rolls ranged $10 to 14 and a California roll is $6. Go to Myabi's for much better sushi or Blue Elephant for top notch Thai. Both are just up the coast in Murrell's Inlet.

Been to Indo twice now, the last time being during our last visit to Myrtle Beach a few years ago right after this place opened. The atmosphere is great, kinda trendy and dimly lit. Feels cozy. Service was pretty good, we were seated promptly and politely and the waitress seemed to always arrive when needed. The menu is divided between Thai and Japanese dishes. There are tremendous number of options, both starters and entrees. For starters we tried the spicy crab roll. I didn't realize it until I looked at the menu again for this review but the roll we received wasn't what we ordered. Whatever it was was bland and simple. Just didn't realize it at the time, being too distracted by our 1 year old. The fried calamari app was really good: light tempura breading, crisp and tender. The other app we tried was the Tong Yod which was a crisp fried wonton with a cream cheese, crab and curry filling. I liked it- my companions less so. For my entree I got the seafood curry (red), it was great. My wife got another curry dish which she really liked. For some reason my mom got some sort of fried rice dish which is perplexing considering all the great options on the menu. Highly recommend.

We should have known better since when we arrived the hostest was not friendly. We wanted to seat in a booth that was not cleaned, the server said with a tone: "I guess you want to seat at the booth and I have to clean it". Summary: a sushi meal took two hours. We needed to ask to the server for every single item that we needed, utensils, napkins, water, etc. and we ended up having to go all the way to the kitchen to get our check. Food was ok and presentation showed that the sushi chef was in a conversation on his mobile phone while preparing our dish. Please be aware that looks like people from the area want to support local businesses and they will write nice reviews of not so nice/good restaurants.

Incredibly nice people... Lovely restaurant.. Lunch (thai) was soso..... not awful....but not terribly good...flavors were not very "bright".... "medium" heat was not adequately spiced....should have ordered "hot"....or "thai hot"....assuming they have those distinctions. Much better thai options in the area.... However, if you have a group with different tastes...this place may be a good option as they do have sushi, and other dishes on the menu.

Good sushi menu with some unique specialty rolls. Fish was good quality and knife work was decent. Priced slightly higher than average. Also has an extensive Thai menu. Friendly service but a slightly weird atmosphere. American pop/rock music themed.

Excellent food and service. We had sushi and two thai dishes. Everything was excellent. All the staff was very friendly. The kids enjoyed the food as well.

The food was just ok. I had the Tom kha soup to start and while it wasn't the worst I've had, it was in the bottom 1/3. The pad Thai was also about the same. The real letdown was the service. I came in when they opened for lunch so i was one of only 4 tables and yet I was ignored most of the time. No talk about how spicy... No hot sauce or anything offered. I finally tracked down another employee who brought me some heat which made it a little better. I sat with an empty glass for a long time and eventually decided I would rather take my money elsewhere for a second drink anyway

I was looking for something different to try while I was at the beach. I was pleasantly surprised with the food here! Was a good atmosphere and the staff was great. I had a Thai salad with salmon, the salmon was perfectly cooked and the salad greens were fresh. I did not try any sushi which I am a fan of, but heard another customer praising the quality of it. Definitely give this place a try.

Tammi and I hosted Cass and Emma while in Myrtle Beach. We decided to try Indo, which was near the Lowe's grocery store, close to the condo we were staying in. Our waitress, Chrissy, was very friendly and helpful -- and patient with the fact we had a 16 month-old with us. The food was very good -- I thought my duck was overcooked a bit -- but otherwise perfect. While the prices were a little on the high side, it is located in a beach resort. We recommend Indo if you are looking for sushi or Thai cuisine.

My family of 6 wanted some good Japanese food for dinner while on vacation. As soon as we walked in we were never greeted friendly by the waitress. I would think 101 in running a restaurant is excellent customer service. I would also think that the waitress should hold a little conversation of small talk. Ex: Where are you from? What plans do you have tonight? The food was very average to below average. I had to send my soup back because it tasted like dirty sea water with extra salt. The entrees were also average. I always think the managers of any business should watch their social media reviews and make corrections to constantly improve. We are in search of a good meal tonight in Myrtle.. Any suggestions??

My wife and I were excited about returning to Indo Thai. We had not been there in about four years. Much has changed in regard to the overall experience. The calamari was way overcooked, and it was sparsely served on top of french fries! The sushi was awful. It was horribly prepared, and it did not taste entirely fresh. On a positive note, both of our curry dishes, red and yellow, we're quite good. Based on this experience, I will be surprised if they are still open in four years.

I rarely review restaurants on yelp, but I was very impressed by the food, service, and venue of Indo. Our waitress was funny and interacted with us. The sushi is amazing! I've live in Chicago and have plenty of great sushi restaurants near my house, but this tops them all!

Always consistent. The Godfather roll is unparalleled. It is probably one of my favorite dishes ANYWHERE. On my last visit service was a little slower than usually, but I think it's because they had several large tables and weren't prepared for it. My only complaint, which is minor, is that there are some aesthetic maintenance issues in the restaurant itself, which has nothing to do with the food but affects the overall experience. I should have probably spoken to the manager about it, but it's still recently post-season and they will probably fix the issues now that things are slowing down a bit. Will remain a go-to establishment for me and my friends.

Barely Thai. I had the pad see ewe with beef, It was not the traditional wide noodle and no sauce or flavor of any kind. Ive had pad see ewe at over a dozen thai restaurants and this was more of a pad thai. Beef quality was good. My wife had the pad thai. It was very dry, which I know it is a dry dish, but with not much flavor other than the crushed peanuts on top. We split the fresh rolls. Was expecting more flavor of herbs like mint or basil, but just lettuce. the sauce was soso, you could get it at any grocery as a sweet thai chili sauce. Overall was not impressed and was more than disappointed. For the price, I was expecting authentic flavors.

Excellent atmosphere and menu choices. Service was entertaining but the appetizers came after the main entrees. Red curry comes in different degrees of hotness from 1 to 5. 3 was plenty hot for me. Well worth the price, which is reasonable.

We wanted to grab a quick dinner while visiting family in the hospital across the way. We found their menu online and called in a take out order, which we ate in the hospital cafeteria. The menu was a mixture of sushi, Japanese, Indonesian and Thai foods and was at a decent price. I was impressed with the interior when I went in to pick up my order. It's a bit dark and intimate, with a good-sized bar and some tables. The sushi chefs greeted me and directed me to the bar where my order was waiting. The bartender quickly rang me up and gave me our dinner. I had ordered the Pad See Eiew with beef ($12.95) and was impressed. The dish was a healthy serving of fat noodles in a tasty sauce with thin beef strips, broccoli, bean sprouts and green onion. It was a pretty tastetacular combination, and the medium spice was just right...not spicy enough to be inedible, but just the right touch to bring a slight tear to my eye. I have to say, it was some of the best Thai I've had since leaving New York, and I'm surprised it came from Myrtle Beach. The missus went with her Thai staple, Pad Thai with shrimp ($13.95.) It was a good Pad Thai with all the stuff you would expect to see. She enjoyed the heat on her mild spice and the shrimp were cooked well. If the food was this good as take out, I would love to have the food fresher by dining in. The quality and quantity of food was awesome, and I would be all for going back to see how the drinks and service are. Plus they have a Sizzling Duck on the Indonesian menu that is simply calling my name! We will be going back here in the future for sure.

Great atmosphere, tasty food, good prices.... what more do you need? If you have any food requirements they will work with you and make pretty much whatever you want :) Bonus: The lady that works behind the bar (they never let her leave) is one of the best things about this restaurant! There is no one else that works there that has half the professionalism, cariama, or even are as genuinely helpful as she is. I can see why they never let her go home! Haha...

Since I don't very often get sushi or Thai at home, I figured I'd check this place out while on a weekend trip. I ordered a sampling of items for myself and my daughter to share, including Fresh Rolls, Calamari, Tuna Sushi, Thai Chicken Fried Rice, and the Mango with Sticky Rice for dessert. The restaurant itself was quiet and dimly lit, going for an upscale atmosphere but missing it a bit in the details (tablecloths wrinkled etc.). Service was very good, and it was easy to find with plenty of strip-mall parking. The Fresh Roll was not what I was expecting; I was looking for more of a Basil Roll, and was surprised by a lot of lettuce and imitation crab. The server was kind enough to take it off my bill without being asked. The calamari was excellent, served tempura-style with a slightly sweet/spicy sauce. My 2-year old loved it, which surprised me! For those with children - it's served on a bed of French Fries, which was thrilling (it's the little things that make me happy when out to dinner with a sometimes-picky toddler). The Thai Fried Rice was good as well, definitely more Thai than Chinese, which was interesting. Serving portion was what I expected. The Tuna sushi was average, nothing exciting, but I was brought lots of extra ginger so I was happy. I thought the Sticky Rice and Mango was a little overpriced when I ordered it, but it was a HUGE serving, so definitely worth the money. All in all a decent, but not great, meal. Nice if you're looking for something different than another calabash buffet. I'd go back and try some of the other items and see how they fared on a second pass.

I only go there for sushi. The fish is always fresh and tasty. Once I ordered red curry dish. And asked it to be mildly spicy. When the dish arrived-it was so spicy that my eyes were tearing. I love very spicy food, but that was beyond. I commented to waitress that the dish was too spicy. She said-yep. Never offered to sub it. I am giving 4 stars because of sushi. They are great!

Sashimi app was so so. 9 LARGE pieces od sashimi but the consistency of the fish was not what I am accustomed to. I ate the whole plate so it was edible, but if you are concerned about quality sushi I would stick to the Thai. Had red curry chicken that was 3 stars (out of 5 for heat). It was just enough spice for me as I like spicy food. I ate at the bar and watched the game. Place was about 1/3 full @ 8:30 on Sunday night. Would go back for Thai but had much better sushi at the Japanese Steak house a few nights later. Price is right.
